We are ACE (Aspiring to Create English), an AmeriCorps-certified international non-profit organization and club based in the California Silicon Valley at Saratoga High School. Our goal is to promote global friendships and empower international students to strengthen their English writing, listening, and speaking abilities. During the school year, our team connects tutors and penpals from Saratoga High School with students outside the United States for them to meet online weekly or exchange messages. In addition to our English tutoring services, we pair penpals from across the world and host international discussion sessions. We have established an international chapter in Dubai at Gems World Academy and have connected with Koyamadiai High School in Tokyo for Zoom discussions.

ACE also has local English services, the English Buddy Program, that pair local English learners with native speakers from Saratoga High School for one-on-one meetings and practice.

 

As of 2024, we have over 50 active student-tutor or penpal pairs from the United States, France, Palestine, United Arab Emirates, China, Taiwan, Thailand, and Japan.
